In March 2025, we announced plans to deprecate CData providers to streamline our platform and focus on TimeXtender Enhanced connectors. While we believe our native connectors offer the best long-term performance, we understand that flexibility is key to your success and that many of you requested more time or options.
We are pleased to share that CData providers will remain available and supported, giving you continued flexibility and choice. CData connectivity will be offered as a premium option, allowing you to remain on CData if you need additional time or prefer the existing functionality, without disruption to your operations.
The details
- Pricing: 250 USD / 250 EUR / 250 GBP per month per customer account (billed in your subscription currency).
- Usage: This fee covers unlimited use of any CData providers you need for that account.
- Effective date: Billing for this service will begin on March 5, 2026.
How it works
We have designed this to be seamless. You do not need to sign a new contract or fill out a form to continue using the service.
- To continue using CData: Simply keep using your data sources as you do today. If CData usage is detected on your account after March 5, 2026, the monthly fee will be applied to your subscription invoice automatically.
- To avoid the fee: Please migrate your data sources to TimeXtender Enhanced providers before March 5, 2026. These native connectors remain free to use and are also the recommended solution long-term.
FAQ
- Do I need to sign up for this?
No. If you are still using CData providers after March 5, 2026, your account will automatically be enrolled in the monthly CData plan. - How will I be billed?
The fee will be added to your standard TimeXtender subscription invoice (billed through your TimeXtender Partner, if applicable). - What if I only use one CData connector?
The fee is a flat rate (250 USD/EUR/GBP) per customer account, regardless of whether you use one connector or many. - How do I cancel this fee?
You must delete all the data source connections using CData from the TDI Portal (for Data Integration users) or remove the data sources from your ODXs and Business Units (for Classic/v20 users). Additionally, due to the on-prem nature of v20/Classic, there is some lag the usage reporting, so we recommend that you get in touch with your partner, or write directly to sales@timextender.com, to ensure you don’t get billed in error. - Can I still migrate to TimeXtender native connectors?
Yes! Our native Enhanced data source providers are available to use at no additional cost. You can migrate to them at any time to avoid the CData fee. - In what currency will I be invoiced?
You will be billed in the same currency as your existing TimeXtender subscription (250 USD, 250 EUR, or 250 GBP). - Can new customers sign up for this?
Yes. The “Unlimited CData” plan is available to both existing and new customers who require CData connectivity. - What do I need to do now?
You now have a clear choice: remain on CData for a monthly fee, or migrate to native connectors at no additional cost.
