Changes to tables or views in the business units, invalidate the related table in the data warehouse.
But this is often not necessary:
- When a field is added to the table in the staging that is not used in the data warehouse
- When a field in a view is changed in the staging, but neither name/type/length change
When you have large tables that require a lot of time to load, this process is a waste of a lot of time and effort.
TX should only invalidate when the data definition of the field changes.
