When connecting to a Excel file. For both connectors (TimeXtender and CData connector), it is not possible to skip the first of last n rows of the file.

Hi
I have the following file https://timextender-my.sharepoint.com/:x:/p/tl/EYYA3xnsZppLnbR9e3XN2p4BpoVZWQMtl3SmTE5Rvd-uuw?e=70vWtU
and this setup.
It gives me these two tables.
It could be working better.
You are supposed to be able to set an range. So I did that.
Empty rows are already excluded by default.
That is the only way it seems. I could not make it show the proper field names, it would always select the first row.
Hi Bas when you use the standard connector and set autofilters in the Excel file on the row you want to have as the first row (Shift+Ctrl+L) and save the excel file. Then sync the source and you will see addtional "sheets" in the excel source with "filter" in the name. Those shoud be what you need. Kind regards, Hugo
Hi Hugo,
Thanks that is also an option. But the Excel files are created automatically by suppliers of our customer.
I don't know if it is possible to automatically create a table in an Excel file. But I will ask the customer.
Nevertheless, it would be much easier if there's an option like the CData CSV connector. There's an option called 'Skip rows'.
Hi Bas
We have an ongoing case with CData about this.
We will add an guide about this and how to skip rows.
Hi Bas
An new Excel provider was released yesterday. So that the issue with field names should be fixed in that.
