Create connection in exMon DM

In this article, you will learn how to create a connection in exMon DM. The Edit Connections window is accessible from the connection dropdown that is located in multiple places where you need to connect to an external datasource. For example, when importing into a table from a database or creating a publish data action.Create a connectionOpen a table in exMon DM and click Import Data Select Database as the Data source. Click Edit connections... Click Add to create a new connection. Write a name for your connection. Select the connection type (SqlServer or ODBC) from the dropdown Fill in the Connection Information and Authentication. Authentication can be either; Windows Authentication which uses the credential of the user running exMon, or Username and Password which uses SQL Login as authentication. PowerShell in cloud

Access to log directory not working

This article will show you how to fix the issue in exMon where logs are not able to write to a directory. To fix this issue you need to know two things:Which machine is having this issue Which user is having this issueIf you know these two things, you can open the folder explorer on the machine that is having this issue. When that is done, you need to find the location where exMon is installed on the machine.If this is happening on a server, the location is usually c:\Program Files\exMon\bin or c:\Expectus\bin If this is happening on a personal computer, the location is %localappdata%/exMon Data GovernanceOpen the file ExpectusConfig.config and find the line LogFile. ExMonDM Actions give you a simple way to store frequently used scripts or procedures relevant to the table. These scripts can then be executed by anyone editing the table data. Commonly used Actions are row validations, browser shortcuts and pushing data from exMonDM to other systems.Note: Actions can contain parameter values, which allows the user to input values when the action is about to run. Customizing the Portal's theme

By default, the theme of the portal is orange-coloured windows with a black and white exMon logo. However, you can change this theme to fit the colour schema of your company. You can also change the logo to a white and orange one. This can be convenient if the black and white logo does not fit well with the customized colour.Customize the portal’s colours & logoYou can change the colour values under General –> Quality & Process. The values for the colour of the portal can be found with the prefix QualityProcess.Portal. Colours are formatted using HEX colour codes and you can select your correct colour codes here.The configuration value QualityProcess.InverseLogo controls which logo icon is used. Changes to package parameters

With the release of exMon 4.5, package parameters have been changed in a way that can affect executions. With this release, exMon no longer adds single quotation marks around package parameters and instead, the user must specify whether they want single or double quotation marks themselves as such:{@myParameter[default:1]}should become{@myParameter[default:1][quotes:']}If you are upgrading exMon and were directed to this page you are using package parameters and so these instructions are very important for you.Copy and paste the package IDs you get when upgrading to notepad. The IDs should be listed below the link that was sent to you here. Resume and finish upgrading exMon. Open exMon Data Governance and using the package ids open each package and make sure it runs properly.
