Release DWH from DEV to PROD

Dear Sir,

Our client is trying to promote/release their DataWareHouse from DEV to PROD.

They are using the Environments page (https://app.timextender.com/data-estate/environments) in the Portal and after a minute or so this Error pops up:

“failed with the error 'SQL errored whilst updating target tables”

Client is using TimeXtender version 6675.2

Their is no detailed information for this error, so can you please give us a hint where to look for, to solve this.

We double checked all database connectivity for DWH and ODX.

No luck so far.

Please assist.

@avanrijn Is this the first time this happens? I'm not using 6xxx yet. But it feels like it might be a firewall setting. Or another option might be that either your prod or dev env still has some task running while you are trying to deploy. These are the only things i can think about. But there are probably some people that can give you are more detailed solutions/debugging option.

Hi,

before performing an environment transfer make sure there are no ExecutionEngines running against the affected environments and that no developers have the affected instances open. Also, before the first transfer you need to have opened the target instance from TX at least once.
