Hello,Since about a month ago, I am not able to connect to Sharepoint Lists anymore. When I test the connection, I get the error message as seen in the image below. Authentication wise, I use Auth scheme AzureAD end the Sharepoint edition is Sharepoint Online. I do not use OAuth and I am able to login to the Sharepoint site with the account I use. Is anyone experiencing the same issue or does someone know how this can be solved?
I have just upgraded to TX Classic 26.0.1 and i am having issues:Why do i still see ODX when i am not suppose to see it in TX Classic I havnet set up any incremental rule, so why i am getting this error? I am getting in on a table that i am not even deploying:
Hi,I recently upgraded to the latest available versions of TDI and TIS:TDI: 7303.1 TIS: 7313.1After the upgrade, one of my data sources in the TX Portal is now showing "Applied provider version: Incompatible".Data source details:Provider type: TimeXtender Enhanced Current provider version: 23.16.1.0 Available upgrade: 24.3.2.0 Ingest instance service version: 200.0.7313.1The portal offers an upgrade to v24.3.2.0, but shows this warning:"If the version of TimeXtender Data Integration you're using is not compatible with the new data source provider, the data source will stop working. Please make sure you're on the latest version of TimeXtender Data Integration before upgrading the provider."I thought I upgraded to the latest TDI, but it will not support the new version of the provider? How do I resolve this?
We use the CData provider for CSV to ingest data from a https URL. The source system does not offer any other way to access the data. This works well. TimeXtender Classic with ODX.We're now looking into migrating away from CData (not trying to start a discussion about the reason...). The TimeXtender CSV provider (version 16.4.23.0) does not suport a https location, only local file/azure/s3/sharepoint/google/sftp/ftps. Is there some way to get this to work? The current workaround is to use the TimeXtender REST provider but that's quite a hassle to set up, especially when there are lots of columns involved. Also, it's really not a REST API with CSV response. It's a regular URL.
Hello, We have a project that is on 20.10 (will upgrade to classic when it is released later this quarter). The customer has a source that is apache iceberg that we want to get data from but I can’t find any information regarding that for TimeXtender. Has anyone done this yet in TimeXtender, if it is even possible to ingest it?Thank you
Hi All,My current employer uses TimeXtender Desktop and two separate servers (dev/test + prod). The previous administrator installed the ODX server on the dev/test server. This causes issues when a datasource is modified, as it also affects the production environment. At my previous employer, we had an ODX server per environment: Dev ODX, Test ODX, and Prod ODX.My question is: what does the community recommend regarding having an ODX server on the dev/test environment? My ideas:Install the ODX Server on the production environment. Rename the VM.Thanks in advance for your help and input!Kind regards,Tim
Hi thereI have an issue which I’m not quite sure how I can solve in timextender.i have 2 tables, Vendor and Catalouge .. Vendor contains all the vendors and Catalouge is the productcataloge with information about the product. The only parameter I have that I can make the relationship on is VAT .. the problem is that many products have the same VAT and there is a multiple Vendors with the same VAT. I was looking into making a bridge table but Im not quite sure how I can do this automatically in Timextender. what’s the smartest solution to this?
Hello,I'm trying to load data from an Odoo system that only exposes an XML-RPC API (no REST or SOAP). I want to bring this data into TimeXtender Portal, but I’m working under a few constraints: I do not have TimeXtender Premium, so I can't use custom scripts or PowerShell. I don’t want to introduce any external tools like Python wrappers or middleware. I can successfully call the XML-RPC API in Postman and retrieve data. I'm looking for a way to either automate or streamline this process without Premium features or external software. I’ve considered the XML data source, but it seems incompatible with XML-RPC since it doesn’t support HTTP POST or dynamic method calls.Has anyone found a way to work with XML-RPC APIs in TimeXtender under these limitations, or automated a file-based import process from tools like Postman?Any suggestions or workarounds would be appreciated.Let me know if you want to see the xml script.
Dear All, We have a “Dynamics Business Central (NAV)” data source with multiple adapters (multiple ERPs). We recently needed to “synchronize” the object to get the last BC evolution (new fields, ...). Unfortunately, the “Display name” of some tables/fields changed. 😒 Ex:-“Lot”“Lot No_ Information” table is now named “Lot No. Information” -“Demand Forecast”“Production Forecast Entry” table is now named “Demand Forecast Entry” Our default was to use “Display Name” (instead of Database Name) in the data selection and staging deployment. Our main concern is our significant number of sql views associated to these selected tables/fields with “hardcoded” name. We know that is recommended to use parameters to avoid problem with renaming but we didn’t implement the params in this case missing time and practicality with the sql code. 😥 Do we have an alternative solution without significant adjustments in our tables/fields selections and associated staging sql custom views ? TXT version: OnPrem
Hello,We have a case in TimeXtender Classic where we need to read more than 256 Columns from the Excel connector. My understanding is that the underlying driver does support it, but by default it will only Return the first 256 Columns, and thus that is all we see when reading objects from the DataSource.Does anyone know if there is a way to expose more columns beyond the 256 already shown?ThanksTim
Hi!Recently I have helped a customer upgrade their TX environment to version 20.10.66.64. With this upgrade it was advised to switch from an ODX setup to Business Units. So we recreated all datasources in the BUs and chose to set up just 1 BU for a datasource to service both Dev & Prod. Now the customer had to rename 2 column names in a table in the datawarehouse DSA on Dev. The next morning the execution package for Prod had halted with an error message stating there were 2 invalid column names. It could not find the 2 new columns. Performed a deploy on Prod and it ran normally. The next morning the Dev environment had not finished because of an error. There were 2 invalid column names, but this time the error message mentioned the old/original column names. We think the cause for this is in using only 1 BU for both Dev and Prod. And see 2 kinds of solutions Use 2 BUs, which would result in Using 2x as much data storage Retrieving data from the original sources 2 times to retriev
Hi,We are currently experiencing a problem with using multiple BC (NAV) Adapters at the same time. The two connectors are set up with individual app registrations as one is in the same Azure Tenant as where we are kicking off the execution, and one is in a different tenant all together. When I execute these tables one at a time or one source at a time, it runs smoothly with no issues. The issue is trying to run both sources at the same time. When I try that, it gives the following error: The connectors are set up correctly as I am able to run them seperately. Does anyone have a fix or workaround for this issue? For the record: we are on Version 20.10.44.64 and we are using Business Units.
Hi,I need to connect to Snowflake as a data source.I have downloaded the latest odbc version for windows from https://www.snowflake.com/en/developers/downloads/odbc/ and installed the provider. From XPilot I get an answer how to configure the odbc data source, but I cant find the “Private Key” field in no 4. That field seem to be “missing” in the config dialog. Step 3: Configure the ODBC Data Source with the Private KeyOpen the ODBC Data Source Administrator Application and go to the System DSN tab. Press "Add" and select SnowflakeDSIIDriver. Click Finish. In the Snowflake Configuration Dialog, provide a name for the data source. Enter the connection details: User: The Snowflake user name. Private Key: The path to the rsa_key.pem file. Database, Schema, Warehouse: Specify the database, schema, and warehouse. Tracing: Set to 0. Test the connection to ensure it is successful. Press OK. Any suggestion on this? Where should I to put the filepath?regards,Bjørn A.
Hi, I’m trying to add new data source provider but it looks like all of them dissapeared. Last week everithing works well. Licence is active, I using version 2.10.36.64. Any idea about the root cause?
Hello,I understand support for CData has been removed, see However, we cannot use existing drivers anymore either, as we don’t have the option anymore to add a CData Data Source via ODX. If we click on Add Data Source, we only see some standard data sources, no CData drivers anymore. If we click on Manage Data Source Providers, we do see the installed CData drivers. We use a lot of different Sharepoint connections to import certain data, and we cannot create a new Sharepoint connection now, without upgrading. How can we add a CData Data Source now? Upgrading of the client is currently not possible. This is a blocking issue! How can we still add a CData data source? Thanks,Stijn Hensen
I cannot see it in the Data Source Providers:Can you give me a setup guide?
Hello,With TimeXtender business unit on prem at an internal server, we were able to call an API via below settings, and load the data successfully. However, when we set up the same data source on TimeXtender Portal with basically the same setting. The data source tested either timeout or with error ‘Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.’, or connection tested okay but no metadata can be imported/synced. I have tried all below connection types but couldn’t get it work. Do you know why (for example to setup firewall or proxy) or have any advice? Thanks in advance.

Dear Sir,I am trying to set up a CData Json datasource connection with TimeXtender. This is my connectionstring:Auth Scheme=OAuth;Data Model=Document;Initiate OAuth=REFRESH;OAuth Access Token URL=https://pilot.binnenbeter.nl/api/v2/login/venray;OAuth Grant Type=PASSWORD;OAuth Refresh Token URL=https://pilot.binnenbeter.nl/api/v2/login/venray;Row Scan Depth=100;User=api@venray.nlI am able to get the bearer Token with Postman with this:url: https://pilot.binnenbeter.nl/api/v2/login/venrayJSON Body:{ "id": "", "language": "en", "data": { "resourceType": "AUTH", "item": { "loginName": api@venray.nl, "password": "password", "module": "API" } }This is the documentation I used for the connectionstring:PasswordFinally there also is an Password method. It is similar to the others, in that it requires an Access Token URL and an Refresh Token URL, the difference is that it uses an User and Password instead of client and secret. Notice that these fields are
Hi all,I’m still quite new to timextender so I appreciate all the help you guys give me.I have quite alot of different XML files containing alot of data. It’s product catalogs with porentially 40K products that contains different kind of parameters .. each product’s parameters varies from product to product .. som tell you the country of origin, som dont .. on some of the products there is information about delivery dates some and on some there aren’t.So all-in-all the different products and the different files varies a quite alot. The content of these files can change each day and some multiple times each day .. I would think that we all in all are talking about 600.000 different products. How would you approach this ?Is it possible for timextender to handle this or do I have to make some kind of XML-parser ?I guess I’m going to make a unique key there is based on the products no. and another parameter, but would you predefine the different parameters as a Field so I have to add a new
In version 20.10.39 you sneaked in a new features in the BC Adapter data source: 17627: Business Central adapter - Merge extension tables option for SQL Server provider Added option to merge a table and its extension tables together as one table. This feature could be very useful but I can’t find any documentation on how it works and if there are any limits or considerations that need to be taken into account.Initial testing suggest that it works for some tables but maybe not for tables in extension modules?
A customer I am working with is trying to connect Topdesk to TimeXtender through an OData feed. A connection is made, but not all tables are available for ingestion. When the customer changes the connection url to connect to just 1 table, TimeXtender has no issues connecting to it and retrieving the data from that 1 table. To test if this there maybe was a setting in Topdesk that was missed we tried to connect from Power Query using the original url. This connection also worked perfectly, showing around 290 tables. How can we get TimeXtender to retreive the same amount of tables from Topdesk?Feed URL: https://<customer>.topdesk.net/services/reporting/v2/odataOAuth version: 2.0Provider: Managed ADO.NETProvider version: 24.0.8963.0OData version: AUTOAttached a screenshot of the output of a query to the datasource in TimeXtender ODX
I have a folder that contains several Excel files I want to combine into one table. However, the week and year that the individual files refer to are only contained in the file names, not in the files themselves. Therefore, I have no way of knowing the week and year that a row of data belongs to when I aggregate the files using the Excel data source. Is there a way to aggregate all Excel files in the folder while also keeping information about which file a record came from? Or is making a separate data source for each file the only solution to keep this information?By the way, the Excel files are stored on a server requiring username and password, so the TimeXtender Excel data source is (currently) not an option.
Hi,I want to connect Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operation - Cloud to TimeXtender. Need to your help to know the prerequisites and also the steps to connect the same to TimeXtender.
