How can I stop a process from running in the TimeXtender DG Desktop application?

I see an article about a process queue but nor in the portal nor in the desktop application I can see this menu. Maybe that is a functionality in the old version?

Hi @Roy V ,

you can get to the other browser interface by adding /dg to the url. So <org>.exmon.com/dg could show the other interface.

Hi Roy,as far as i have seen now is that the Process Queue in the DG Portal is only available in the payed license. Are you using the license included with TX data Integrator?

@Roy V please select Process Management

And then select process queue

and then select the task(s) and click Stop Executions

I don’t have this layout. If I am correct that are pictures of the old portal layout.
I have the portal that looks like this:

and the desktop version that looks like this:

So there is no exception manager.
So I assume Devin is right that this is not part of the license that comes with TX Data Integrator?
Can you confirm that or is the functionality of this process queue planned to be added to the new DG portal?
Would be strange if you can't stop jobs as part of the TX data integrator license but only start them.

Hi Rory

Thanksa lot. Now I can see a similar interface.

However it does not show me the menu under exception manager (and I an admin) so probably with only the TX data integrator license you don't have this option. Hope this will be added to Turnkey or the Desktop application.

Hello,

Any updates on this? For example I have this execution that is stuck in the Exmon and the TX interface:

I have no way to kill this execution. We have to wait for it to hit the timeout setting. We could ofcourse set a better timeout setting but it would also be nice to have a button somewhere that allows us to cancel the job.

I tried redeploying the job / process map but that does not overwrite running jobs. I can’t start a new run because this one is running:

I don’t have the option to switch to Process Management in the old interface:

Hi @Mvest

Just to clarify - are you scheduling jobs or execution packages via TimeXtender Orchestration?

Do you see any error messages in the event viewer on the application VM?

We use the Schedule Groups in Exmon to schedule a process, and a process contains ODX transfer tasks + execution packages. We have no more jobs with an active schedule in TimeXtender Data Integration itself.

There are no error messages in the Event Viewer, until it hits the timeout setting:

The timeouts happen very rarely. But when it does happen and if we notice it, it would be nice to end a task manually using the interface.
