See the below screenshot. I’ve installed Classic 26.2.1.1 and if I just put in the License Key, it tells me I need to have an activation file. Never had to do this with 20.10.Went to download the activation file, and there is not an option for v26. If I try a 20.10 activation file, it says it’s the incorrect version.Using the Alithya partner key starting with: 3c67….
Hi,I did renew my solutions architect certificate today. Is there any expire date for certificates granted nowadays? When i got certified in 2023 it was valid for two years. Best regards,Markus
Couple of questions regardnig the new version:Why does date say November 2025 for the latest release: Download TimeXtender 20.10 – TimeXtender Support. A bit confusing. Is it the latest version, or is the latest version only available in customer portail? Here is says that V25 is TimeXtenders new focus for on-prem solution, but the lasted version on customer portail is 20.10.74.64. Where can v25 be downloaded from? If upgraded to the TimeXtender Data Integration (fully cloud version), how much work is it to migrate everything from 20.10.45.X ?
At our client Heijmans, we're experiencing differences in mappings from the same table in the Ingest. We're on TDI 7208.1 and Prepare Instance oDataWareHouse version 3655Using a Salesforce source, we're using the table Object__c where we approximately have 400 fields available. At the moment, we only have about 350 ‘checked’ in the Ingest. However, when adding new fields (of the remaining 50), and transferring and synchronizing the project, the mapping doesn’t update. It's even possible to add the same table as a second source and then, the whole list becomes available. To give another example, the standard field [odx_timestamp] has been checked in the Ingest, but is only visible in the second mapping in the project.
Hello,My current employer uses TX 20.10.45 (ODX and other services). We sometimes experience some bugs and want to ugprade to the latest version. I was told that it is better to have the ODX and the other services on the same version. So i was thinking about ODX 20.10.73 and the same version for other services. Now the main question: Is it possible to upgrade from 20.10.45 directly to 20.10.73 without any installation issues? Or do we need to upgrade in phases? Thanks for your help and anwsers.Kind regards, Tim
Hi,After getting a new phone the two-factor authentication doesnt work anymore when login to TimeXtender Data Integration 7278.1Need support for further assistance :-)regards,Bjørn A.
Hi,We are experiencing an issue with two execution packages, 2_A and 1_B, which are configured not to run concurrently (they are not marked for concurrent execution in the Execution Package Editor). However, we have observed that they are running at the same time. Here is our setup: 2_A is part of a chain and runs as a post-execution step after 1_A. 1_A is allowed to run concurrently with 1_B. Since 1_A typically completes much faster than 1_B, this sometimes results in 2_A starting while 1_B is still running. We want to prevent 2_A and 1_B from ever running simultaneously.Could you please clarify how concurrency is evaluated in this scenario? Is it determined by the parent package (1_A) settings, or should the restriction between 2_A and 1_B be enforced differently? What would be the recommended way to configure this to ensure 2_A never starts while 1_B is still executing?
Hello,I have a question about the exam material for TX TDI.Is the exam content updated with each new TX TDI release, or can it become slightly outdated compared to the latest version of the software? For example, if a button used to create a custom field changes name or location in a newer release, and I get a multiple-choice exam question asking for the step-by-step process, should the candidate answer based on the documentation/training material, or based on the latest functionality in the software?
I would like to submit a feature request regarding the support ticket overview/list.In larger and well-organized organizations, it is important to be able to report and analyze support activity over time - for example: where time is spent, which resources are working on which issues, the nature/category of the problems, and the timing of ticket creation and closure. To do this effectively, the underlying data needs to be easily available, sortable, and exportable.Could you please consider adding an option (e.g., a button in the ticket list view) to export the ticket/case list to CSV (or a similar format)? Ideally, the export would include as much information as possible per case, such as: ticket ID, title/summary, status, priority, category, assigned resource, requester, creation date/time, last updated, closure date/time, and any relevant tags or metadata available in the list view. This would significantly improve reporting and internal follow-up, and make it easier to maintain operat
Hi,I have a question regarding history-enabled tables and slowly changing dimensions (SCDs). In my case, I have a specific store that recently changed its store name. In the transaction table, I want to keep the old store name for all transactions prior to 01.01.2023.The best solution is probably to introduce a history table with a Slowly Changing Dimension on the store dimension, right?Currently, my table is incremental, but once a week we perform a full load back to 2021 (a large amount of data). According to the article I read, I should add an additional join similar to the one shown in the picture below. However, in my experience, adding such lookups often makes the execution significantly slower. What do you think? Do you have any suggestions for a better approach, or is this perhaps already the best solution?I’m also wondering whether it would help to convert the transaction table (the fact table) to a proper history table instead of keeping it as an incremental table? The dimensi
Hi,i've got a couple of spreadsheets in a sharepoint folder that is would like to merge into one table in TX.I’m running TX V20.10.66.64i've setup a connection to the folder using provider TimeXtender Excel Data Source (16.4.20.0) and can see the files when i choose None for the aggragation option. When i select Files or Files & Sheets, no files are shown after running the sync or Transfer job.All files have just on sheet called 'Blad1’, the same amount of columns with identical names across the files. No tables are defined. What's misconfigured or going wrong?kind regards,Hans Zuijderwijk
Hi A customer of ours is noticing that the order in which TX is deploying and executing the datawarehouses they have causes empty tables. They are using TX Classic without an ODX, all sources are in Business Units. From the business units data flows to the DSA datawarehouse. From there it flows to the MDW datawarehouse and finally the data flows to the Delivery datawarehouse layer. When making changes to tables in the MDW layer that affect tables in the Delivery layer and then performing a deploy & execute you can clearly see that the affected tables in the Delivery layer are handled first followed by de MDW layer. This also happens in the scheduled executions causing empty tables and having to execute the Delivery layer by hand. Is there a way to change this order?
Good day,When analysing the Azure Costs of our TimeXtender Resource Group I suddenly noticed a spike in the costs, coming mostly from an increate in Storage Account and VM costs. To my knowledge, the setup of TimeXtender has not been changed during this period. Are there any methods to analyse these increase in Storage and VM costs, as the storage costs have more than doubled? Azure Cost Management Storage Account SettingsVM Costs
Hi, I missed the webinar today as shown below. Is it possible to get the recording from this webinar?Data Trends & Challenges from FabCon Europe 2025: Practical Solutions with TimeXtender Best regards,Michael Müller
Recently we have been running into big problems with our production repository database becoming completely unresponsive after completing an environment transfer, actually leading to scheduled executions not starting the following night. It has happened twice in the last two weeks but never before during the 3 years that we’ve been working with TX.The issue is seemingly resolved having switched to a vCore model on the production repository, but we are at a loss as to the root cause of this problem. We have of course read all the relevant knowledge base articles/community discussions that talk about why the repository may become generally slower over time (execution logs have been deleted, yes) -however, for us it has not been gradually deteriorating but suddenly. Also, we believe our projects are not that big (see below) to warrant the export-import procedure.SetupTX version 20.10.25.64 Multiple environment setup (Dev + Prod), TX running on single Azure VM and all databases are Azure SQL
We are suddenly having issues with opening last saved project in TimeXtender. The error says:An error occurred while fetching data from the database.Failed to enable constraints. Hi all,As per the article below, it mentions that when hosting the prepare instance on-prem, you need to install the Power BI Gateway.Power BI Premium Endpoint | CommunityDoes anyone have experience of this, and if so, have you installed it on a dedicated server or on the same server as the Ingest or SQL servers? For this scenario, the data will be loaded once daily. Thanks,Richard
Hi!recently I helped a customer who was changing IT providers with installing their TimeXtender in the new environment. At this moment when executing a table they get an error message saying the following: Cannot find the object "O_BAE_BTW_CODES_R" because it does not exist or you do not have permissions.Details:SQL Server: 'ohs-sql1'SQL Procedure: ''SQL Line Number: 2SQL Error Number: 1088 This concerns a table in the DSA layer of their TX environment. And is a table that does actually exist when we check the database in SSMS. The error message appears on the following step: Execute DSA dbo.O_BAE_BTW_CODES ODX transfersPermissions have been checked multiple times, the concerned user accounts have db_datareader & db_datawriter privileges at the very least.
Hi all, Does anyone have experience with or managed to do a “dynamic” kind of flexi multi key join in TimeXteder? Example like this --- a.[BUYER_GROUP_CD], b.[BUYER_GROUP]FROM[DSA].[SYNAPSE_SILVER] aLEFT JOIN[DSA].[XLS_PURCHASING_GRP] b ON a.[BUYERGRP] = b.[BUYER_GROUP] OR ON a.[BUYER_GROUP_DESC] = b.[BUYER_GROUP_ID] OR ON a.[BUYER = b.[BUYER_GROUP_WORKSPACE_ID]
Hello,We have currently set up a hybrid environment for our TX deployments. A DEV environment in on premise MSSQL database and test and prod in Snowflake. I have already come across situations like hashing where the built in functionality is not usable in Snowflake and if you create a custom field with a hashing algorithm it is not possible to deploy from MSSQL to Snowflake becuase of the different language required to create the hash. I have also com across this when writing custom scripts. In those cases so far i have been able to create code that works in both environments. Is there any way to handle this more effeciently when running a hybrid set up like this? We are trying to reduce unneccessary costs in Snowflake during development hence the hybrid set up. I have read some things about Instance variables but it would be great if there is some kind of best practice in a set up like this.
Hi. Is it possible to move my current community account to my new e-mail address? I could not find anywhere to update this on my profile.
Hello,TimeXtender 20.10.51I’m looking for support with an issue we’re experiencing where execution packages are running but no tasks are being completed while causing 100% usage on the repository. After deploying to production, we ran a package manually and noticed it not proceed past the above step. The “current tasks completed” stayed at 0, and no data was being loaded, even after waiting up to 30 minutes. We tried running it multiple times, but nothing changed. Running individual tables worked fine.We checked the SQL database usage for the DSA to be sure, and it wasn't being affected—no data was loading as expected. While troubleshooting, we found that the repository (a standard 100 DTU Azure SQL database) was hitting 100% data IO and DTU usage. One query, in particular, was using nearly all the available resources. It was this query:(@ObjectId uniqueidentifier)SELECT [StepId], AVG(DATEDIFF(s, [Start], [End])) AS [AvgSeconds] FROM [dbo].[ExecutionPackageLogDetails] WHERE [ObjectId] =
Hi, Is there a way to access an ODX that went offline after upgrading TX? Or would you need to install the ODX version that is equal to the new TX version?
Hi!This week I have been trying to upgrade a client of ours to TX 20.10.66.64 and in this process we have come quite far. We are able to deploy & execute all layers in a project, except for the Semantic layer. The error message TX shows us is below:The account that is mentioned in the parts that I have blurred out is an account that has never existed, nor is mentioned in any connection in the project. The databases used in this semantic layer are all on a SQL server that worked correctly before the upgrade of TX. Note: TX was not only upgraded, but also installed on a different application server. Created a new endpoint in the existing semantic layer, when trying to deploy and execute this, same error message appeared. Deploy steps all succeeded, it fails on the execution step. Has someone seen this error message or experienced this before?
Hi!I have just installed TX 20.10.66.64 on a new server for a customer and following the steps of the “Configure Multiple Environments” article. Created a service account and setup the Windows Services through TimeXtender. Logged in on TimeXtender with the Service account for prod and linked it to the prod repository (which is on a different server). Now I'm trying to setup the production environment in TimeXtender. I opened Environment properties and clicked New Environment, gave it a name and filled in the address of the server (and instance) containing the prod repository. Filled in the ports. When clicking OK to close the Add Environment window I almost immediately get the error from the printscreen below: Has anyone come across this before?
