Connect to JSON data source via api possible on on-prem but not cloud

Hello,

With TimeXtender business unit on prem at an internal server, we were able to call an API via below settings, and load the data successfully.

However, when we set up the same data source on TimeXtender Portal with basically the same setting. The data source tested either timeout or with error ‘Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.’, or connection tested okay but no metadata can be imported/synced. I have tried all below connection types but couldn’t get it work. Do you know why (for example to setup firewall or proxy) or have any advice? Thanks in advance.

Hi @Xiaoqing Hu

The JSON version in the portal is of a higher major release, the 24.0.xxxx.0 one.

There is some difference from the 23.0.xxxx.0 you use in the old version.

In the Connection area you can see the Connection Type field, it is not actually possible to have it set to Auto. Try to set this to https to let it know what type of connection you are using.

Alternatively, just use the REST data source, it works the same way as the one for JSON.
