Error: License Expire Error, Unable to Activate TimeXtender Classic License


Symptoms:

Warning or error while trying to activate TimeXtender

Warning: The license will expire in 7 days.
Activation failed: There was no endpoint listening at http://selfservice.cloudapp.net/WebServer.svc that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.
Unable to connect to the remote server
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

Resolution:

  1. Check Firewall Prerequisites: Ensure that you have met the firewall prerequisites to activate over the internet. Configure your Firewall - TimeXtender v20, specifically ensure to open selfservice.cloudapp.net on port 80

  1. Use Offline Activation File - if the application VM does not have access to the internet then:

  • Email support@timextender.com requesting an offline activation file

  • Download the offline activation file provided by the support team.

  • Open TimeXtender and enter your license key.

  • Select "Activate using local activation file".

  • Click "Browse" and select the downloaded license file.

  • Click "Activate" to complete the activation process.
