In this article, you will read about granting REST API Access to TimeXtender Master Data Management. The REST API Access page, in TimeXtender Master Data Management, can be accessed by the following steps:
- Click the Configure button in the bottom left corner
- Select REST API Access.
This page shows you all the projects, categories and tables and allows you to share them or revoke sharing.
- You can also open a table, switch to the Advanced tab
- Select the Share button to do the same thing for that table.
Note: A shared table will be accessible by anyone with the link.
Why REST API?
SQL is in most cases the best way to access TimeXtender Master Data Management data but when using SQL is infeasible REST API offers a solid alternative.
