We have SSO setup for a Client for using O&DQ.

We can create individual User Accounts just fine, but if we try to make use of Entra Groups we get 2 issues:

  1. The Browse dialog for adding the ENTRA Group does not list all Entra Groups.
  2. If we add a Group using the group’s object ID it seems to work correctly but users in the group when singing into login.timextender.com are asked to select the “Company” they want to access once they select “Orchestration and Data Quality”. and the list of companies is blank.
  3. We have tried adding in a different group that the user is in that does appear in the browse dialog with the same result.

Version of TX O&DQ is 25.2.0.58

Need to understand why this is happening to satisfy the client.

Hi,

for 2): does your “system” have a name or is it blank?

Hey Rory,

We have 2 named systems, we have split some of the process maps out into a separate system so that we can give End Users access to a set of process maps that they can view and execute.

They user group has been given view access to one of the systems

Hi,

the reason I asked is because if you first start working in Orchestration the system often has no name meaning you get a blank option in some of the pulldowns.

I think (based on some checking) that only Cloud-Originated Entra groups are selectable. Meaning that any groups originating in Windows AD or M365 groups are not seen in the selection.

It is probably good to check if individual users inside the group are actually added to the Orchestration users, I believe this is done automatically nowadays.

Hey Rory,

Thanks I believe you may be right on the visibility of Entra groups and their visibility.

I have been using a group with only one member in it and they do not get added as a User within Orchestration. I think I will escalate this as a proper support call.

Paul.
