Connecting To ETL Agile Using A JDBC Driver

Hi Support,

Our client is using ETL Agile v20. They want to connect to Infor's datalake. Infor provide us with their Compass JDBC driver. Is it possible to import a JDBC driver into Jet to connect to their datalake?

Are JDBC's supported with ETL Agile or will this be possible at all in a future release?

Many thanks,

Kashif

CData ADO.NET providers are available to use within ETL Agile v20.

Looking at Infor docs https://docs.infor.com/inforos/2021.x/en-us/datafabrug/default.html?helpcontent=pva1631199519214.html

Can the client use a REST provider to retrieve data from Infor data lake ?

Hi Syed,

Thanks for coming back to us.
Infor do provide a REST API that we can connect to, however, I’m not sure how we can use that as a data source.

When I look at the available data sources in ETL Agile, I only see the standard SQL, Oracle, DB2, ODBC etc.

How do I enter REST endpoint urls etc. into ETL Agile to act as a data source?

thank you

Steve

Hi Steve

In Tools menu, do you have an option to “Manage CData Providers”

In Data source setup, do you see an option to “add CData Data Source”

Please check with your partner or OEM distributor on features on your license.

Hi Syed,

Thank you very much for this.
I don’t see “Manage CData Providers” under the Tools menu - there is an option for Plugins, but it doesn’t do anything.
I also don’t see anything anywhere to “add CData Data Source”.

I’ll try to find out who our partner / distributor is and take it up with them.

Thank you for your help.

Steve

Hi Syed,

I’ve now been provided with a different Demo licence for Touchstone that has access to the Manage CData Providers.

Thank you for all your help.

You can close this ticket
