Hi TimeXtender,

Suddenly, we're encountering an SQL Server error: "Undetermined SQL Server version during read of source schema."

We're currently using TimeXtender version 20.10.14.64. My question is: Does TimeXtender support the following SQL Server version?

Microsoft SQL Server 2022 (RTM-GDR) (KB5032968) - 16.0.1110.1 (X64) Nov 9 2023 22:31:58 Copyright (C) 2022 Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition (64-bit) on Windows Server 2022 Standard 10.0 <X64> (Build 20348: ) (Hypervisor)

Thank you!

Regards,
Ismail

Hi @Christian Hauggaard ,

while upgrading should solve this, should this not also work if the correct client libraries for SQL Server 2022 are available? This is reading from a SQL Server source, not running your repository or DWH on SQL 2022.

Hi @rory.smith is the TimeXtender SQL data source being used? Are they using ODX or business unit? It might be related to the version of the provider being used

Hi,

I guess @nohikh would be able to answer that. I just wanted to be sure to know where the boundary lies as a customer might be running TimeXtender on SQL 2019 but have SQL 2022 sources.

Hi all :)
Thanks for the feedback.

We are using business units and it is the TimeXtender SQL data source that we are using.
We found out that the TX-version we are using does not support SQL Server 2022, therefore we are planning to upgrade the version. Will let you know it solves the issue. Upgrade is planned to be end of March.
