It is already possible to clone a table structure, but the lookups, data selection rules and database schema are not cloned.

Thanks Bas,

We will take this into account when we implement the copy and past functionality in general.

Regards,
Jan

Hi Peter

No it is not available yet. I do know we get requests regarding copying tables in semantic models and maybe it could become just a copy all feature for all areas, including the ODX and similar.

This feature would save a lot of time in multiple scenario’s. In most ERP’s I’ve been working with almost all transaction header & row tables have the exact same structure and require the exact same lookups all the time.

It would be ideally to create one Draft Header table and one Draft Row table including all the lookups and relations. Next, I can copy this draft header & row table for all my transaction tables (30+) and only change the mapping once for the tables. This would save tons of times copying and relating everything all over again.

Hi,

Is there any news regarding copy/paste functionality?

TX made very nice steps with importing/exporting connection settings in the Portal. It would be great if other artifacts in TX can be made more transportable too. Import/export tables/views/sp’s including all logic (lookups, transforms etc etc) to other instances, copy/paste within the same instance etc.
