It would be nice if the data on demand option will also work the ADF - SQL Server provider.

Using version provider version 12.0 and TX version 6143.1.

Totally agree with this idea, one of the most important reasons to migrate to the new release is the option to get rid of separate scheduling (ODX transfers and DWH execution packages).

The fact that this is not possible (by using on-demand data ingestion) for ADF data sources is a limitation in my opinion.

The solution your looking for is now possible with our integration with Exmon Process orchestration, which is now part of every TimeXtender SaaS license:

You can generate tasks for the Data source, include these in a job, as well as DWH & SSL jobs. Then orchestrate all this in a series with orchestration. This is the recommended way to do this moving forward. We of course will be improving this integration in the future.

Thanks @JTreadwell

It’s very nice this solution.

Can you detail what are the Exmon’s features that are included in our license if we are using the Standard Package?

Hey @rvgfox,

The only limitation when using Exmon Orchestration as part of your standard license is that you only have access to the TimeXtender Data Provider. Meaning all features are supported, but only against TimeXtender jobs. This includes: Scheduling, Email alerts, historical logging, process maps, web based execution and monitoring.
