We are implementing TimeXtender at a customer who is operating in healthcare. One of their employees asked us how we could load data into TX from a HL7 source (HL7 ORU to be specific). Since I have never heard of this, I was wondering if you have experience with this.

Please check to see if the HL7 source supports an API or REST call to return data in a JSON, XML, or CSV format.  Then you may use a CData provider.

HL7 is a messaging format used in healthcare - CData has a parser/convertor in their CData Arc EDI stack. It might be useful to ask if they have a connector or are planning to release one.

Hi Kaj,

CData currently does not currently have a HL7 specific driver.  You may work with your Solution Specialist to discuss your use case and to explore workarounds.  Moving this to Ideas section.
