For the migration of a project from v20 to v21 we used the migration tool. When using the migration tool it was indicated that an empty instance had to be available to be able to migrate the project.
It would be nice if we could merge this temporary instance with an existing one. When using the migration option within the portal the data warehouse is copied from one instance to the other and the existing data areas in the existing instance disappear.
It would be nice if there was an easy way in the migration tool, portal or both to merge instances without having to manually redevelop the existing data areas/warehouses.
