Service Principal access to (DWH) Azure SQL db with ADF

Hi,

One of the latest features is that we can use Azure Entra ID Service Principals in order for TX to authenticate with DWH storage such as Azure SQL db. Last week I tried to use this but encountered this issue when deploying one of the data areas:

 

 

We will use ADF for data transfer from ODX (data lake) to DWH. Is this by design and will this be made possible in the future? The version of the TX implementation is 6675.2

Hi @KajEmergo Entra service principal authentication is currently not supported with ADF. I believe this is a MS/ADF limitation, however feel free to create a product idea here
