TimeXtender 6892.1 Ingest Jobs Issue

I have just installed TimeXtender 6892.1 on a client’s site and all of the jobs that call Ingest tasks are all marked as invalid. indicating that “The instance “DataLakeDev” has an invalid repository version - the instance is of a later version than what is supported by the application.

Both the Ingest engine and the Prepare / Desktop / Execution engine are 6892.1

I have opened every instance and allowed TimeXtender to upgrade the instance in the repository.

This is only happening with jobs that execute ingest tasks across both of our ingest instances (dev and Prod).

If I try to create a new job it will not display any ingest tasks to add to the job, so I cannot recreate the job.

We are using Exmon Orchestration and it still seems able to execute the jobs even though they are marked as invalid. So we are able to run our production loads thankfully. But this needs to be resolved ASAP.

Hi @Paul McLeod Bespoke Analytics

A fix has now been released in 6898.1. Please upgrade to this version

  • Fixed an issue where Jobs would say they were invalid due to unsupported version.

Hi @Paul McLeod Bespoke Analytics

The jobs feature has been deprecated. It still exists if you continue to have jobs and you can create new ones.

So this may be why, but I will make sure I get a proper answer to it.

Thanks for the Update Christian,

I will look to re-do the upgrade. But I am hoping that TX understand how bad it looks when we do an install and then have to do another installation the next day to fix a bug introduced into the product...

Quick Response to Thomas. We are using Exmon Orchestration, Version 24.3.0.35 and I attempted to quickly redevelop our package executions for the Ingest layer to use the new capability to use the Ingest tasks directly.

However When I tried to synch with TDI I get errors and the Exmon desktop cannot find any tasks to add..

I do see that the latest version of Exmon is 24.3.0.49, so I am assuming that this has been corrected. But it would be nice if this was noted in a proper release note like you do for the core TX product.
