I would like to set up a jobs on a hourly schedule for the first week of the month (and daily for the rest of the month). Is there a way to allow for more complex scheduling-rules for the Jobs ?

Hi
It is not possible to specify a range of days in a month to run on only on specific days in a week.
So you would have to manually make a rule for each day you would want it to run. Exclusions are also not possible so the rule that would allow it to run only once a day also need to be specified on each day.
I would add upvotes to all the ideas regarding this we already got. This does not fit completely, so I would suggest adding ideas for excluding days and specify days in months it will run.

Is there a way to use the repeat option combined with running on a specific day ?

If you’re on version 20.10.42 or earlier, you can use Windows Task Scheduler instead of TimeXtender Scheduler. The Triggers tab allows you to specify multiple schedules. In the Actions tab, you navigate to the TimeXtender executable, and in the Add Arguments field, you specify the project and package … both in double quotation marks (“).
The Task Scheduler overview (Actions tab) for this job should look like this example:

Thanks! Do you know if there is any way to use the Windows Task Scheduler on more recent version of TimeXtender ?
That’s one of my own questions :-)
I’ve mentioned it to the TX team and I intend to raise it as a feature request … if you do so (as suggested by Thomas) before I’m back from my overseas conference, I’ll upvote it!

You can make multiple rules for a job, but you will need to create a new rule for each day you want to run it, which is not really a usable solution.
I don’t see how using the Windows Task Scheduler possible in the new releases. I don’t think it is possible to start an execution from the command prompt.
