Execution blocking access to cubes

Hello,

Since a couple of days I created a second execution package to execute +- 10 tables, some dimension and 1 cube.

After this execution the other cubes are not reachable, I need to deploy and execute them all to get it solved.

Any clue why an execution pack would block access ?

Thanks,

Ronny

Hi Ronny,

SSAS Multidimensional works by calculating all combinations of fact and dimension data.  If you are refreshing dimensions used in other cubes, those cubes will no longer contain the proper, full set of calculations, and so they must also be refreshed as well.

I think this is what's probably happening here - if it is, you should be able to get the same error by executing any dimension without executing its associated cube, so it's easy to test out.

I hope this helps!
