Hot on the heels of 26.3, we've published a minor release of Timextender Data Integration (v. 26.3.0.2) with a follow-up feature to the full support for Fabric Warehouse as Prepare instance storage (in public preview) that was a headline feature of 26.3.
The Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Fabric/OneLake data source now works with Prepare instances on Fabric Warehouse storage. We've also included a few fixes in this release, most of them for incremental loads on Fabric Warehouse.
New & Improved
Dynamics 365 F&O Fabric/OneLake Data Source Now Supports Prepare on Fabric Warehouse
You can now use the Timextender OneLake Finance & Operations data source with Prepare instances on Fabric Warehouse. Until now, a Prepare instance on Fabric Lakehouse was required if you wanted to use the data source with Fabric.
Behind the scenes, the Ingest service creates shortcuts in your Ingest Lakehouse to the F&O tables you've selected in OneLake, and Prepare on Warehouse reads the data through those shortcuts.
To make this work, some changes to TDI were required, which is why this is not just a data source provider upgrade. After upgrading TDI, upgrade the data source provider to v. 26 to enable the Warehouse support.
Fixed
- A Prepare-to-Prepare mapping ignored the incremental load setup on its target table, so the table always ran as a full load even though the source table loaded incrementally.
- On Fabric Warehouse, a table with two or more mappings and incremental load enabled could lose the incremental value for every mapping after the first, so those mappings silently reloaded all data from the source on every run.
- On Fabric Warehouse, a table whose mapping set used several incremental selection rules could copy one source's highest incremental values onto another source, so that source silently skipped some of its new rows on the next incremental run.
- Deploying one Qlik Cloud endpoint could overwrite the configuration of another endpoint, for example an acceptance endpoint overwriting production, so Orchestration launched the wrong app.
