TimeXtender Ingest SaaS Integration

We will go through how to connect TimeXtender Orchestration & Data Quality to TimeXtender SaaS. There are a few steps required to connect TimeXtender Orchestration & Data Quality to TimeXtender SaaS.

Create API key in TimeXtender web

1. Open https://app.timextender.com/home
2. There go to Admin and Security and Permissions
3. Create API key and store it for use later

Create TimeXtender SaaS Data Provider

1. Open TimeXtender Orchestration & Data Quality Desktop.
   1. You can download it from the web environment. This can be done either through x.exmon.com/dg or login.exmon.com and selecting TimeXtender Orchestration & Data Quality which will redirect you to your web environment.
2. On the left under Object Explorer expand General
3. Right-click on Data Providers and select New... and give your Data Provider a name
4. In Datasource Type select TimeXtender SaaS
5. Paste in your API key
6. Press Test Connection to ensure it works

If the above worked you can now start connecting TimeXtender Orchestration & Data Quality to your TimeXtender SaaS environment

Create TimeXtender SaaS Package

1. On the left under Object Explorer right click Packages
2. Select New... and TimeXtender Ingest and give your package a name
   1. It's good habit to give your package the same/similar name as the Ingest task you are about to connect the package to
3. Now a UI opens up where you can connect your package
   1. Leave Execution Connection as Local
   2. Under Data Provider select the Data Provider you created above
   3. Now you can select the TimeXtender task or execution package you want your package to start
4. When you have configured everything you can deploy your package and try running the package
