Hi,

I'’ m upgrading from 20.10.52 to 20.10.63 and are waiting for a long time (over a hour)  message

“please wait while the application is preparing for first use”

and after a while a message

“installer not reponding “ with a retry or cancel.

Is this normal behaviour?

that is not normal - I would open a support ticket. Some things to check:

  • firewall ports
  • how fresh was your backlog sync as that is removed post-20.10.52

Hi ​@Pieter-Jan I have created a support ticket for this


I have stopped the update and we are also searching in the eventlog for issues on the server. Have started the timextender services again and have done a odx transfer and run an execution package with succes, so previous version is still okee so it seems. 

 

Will start a new upgrade if our system engineers says the server and the eventlog are okee

The issue appears to be related to the setup of the VM. Please see the following troubleshooting article:

Hi, as we did additional research we also did find issues with the installer coordinator. Our system adminstrator team found out that the server isn't correctly domain joined / policies issues, and so they are in the lead to solve that issue. After that we will try again.
