Symptoms

Testing the connection to a new Oracle data source causes the Oracle data source window to close and one of the following error messages to appear

Error in command:
TimeXtender.DataManager.AddEditDatasourceOracleCommand
Could not load file or assembly 'Oracle.DataAccess,
Version=4.112.2.0, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=<Token>' or one of its dependencies.
The system cannot find the file specified

Could not load file or assembly 'Oracle.DataAccess, Version 4.112.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=<Public Key>'.  This assembly was compiled for a different processor.

Cause

Missing or incorrectly installed Oracle Data Provider

Resolution

Re-install Oracle Data Provider, see the complete guide here.  Make sure that the Oracle Data Provider version is new enough and is a bit version that matches the installed TimeXtender software.  Be sure to run the command prompt as run as administrator when performing the install, and remember to restart after the installation is complete
