We will go through how to connect TimeXtender Orchestration & Data Quality to TimeXtender on-premise. Things that we require before we begin:
- A Windows user that can open the TimeXtender application
- SQL access to the TimeXtender project repository database
- This can either be a SQL database user or the Windows user above that has Windows authentication to the project repository database
Create TimeXtender Data Provider
- Open TimeXtender Orchestration & Data Quality Desktop.
- You can download it from the TimeXtender Orchestration & Data Quality web environment. This can be done either through x.exmon.com/dg or login.exmon.com and selecting TimeXtender Orchestration & Data Quality which will redirect you to your web environment.
- On the left under Object Explorer expand General
- Right-click on Data Providers, select New... and give your Data Provider a name
- In Datasource Type select TimeXtender
- Type in your connection information
- Press Generate Connection String
- Press Test Connection to ensure it works
Sync TimeXtender Orchestration & Data Quality with TimeXtender TDI

- You will get a popup with all systems and package folders
- In the popup select the system and execution connection you want

Create TimeXtender packages manually
- On the left under Object Explorer right-click Packages

- It's a good habit to give your package the same/similar name as the Execution package you are about to connect the package to
- Now a UI opens up where you can connect your package to a TimeXtender Execution package
- Set Execution Connection as the server you want your package to run at
- Under Data Provider select the Data Provider you created above
- Now you can select the TimeXtender execution package you want your TimeXtender Orchestration & Data Quality package to start
- When you have configured everything you can deploy your package and try running the package
