If the machine running the TimeXtender Classic software cannot connect to the activation service over the Internet, an offline activation file is required to activate the software.
Prerequisites
To download offline activation files for your company's license, you must have the 'company admin' permission. Additionally, two settings in the license portal are required, which are not typically added by default. If you're missing a prerequisite, contact your partner or submit a support request.
- Your company needs the "Download activation file" permission. Verify this by going to Admin > Basic info and reviewing the Permissions card.
- The Manual Activation feature must be included in the license.
Downloading the Offline Activation File
Follow these steps to download an offline activation file for a license:
- Navigate to Admin > Licenses.
- Locate the desired license card, click Actions, and select "Download activation file".
- In the Download Activation File window:
- Choose the version of the software you want to activate from the Version list.
- Click the Download button.
- A file with the ".lic" extension will be downloaded to your machine.
Using the Offline Activation File
Once you have the .lic file:
- Transfer the file to the machine running TimeXtender Classic.
- Open TimeXtender Classic and navigate to the activation dialog.
- Choose the "Install existing license file" option.
- Browse to the location of your .lic file and select it.
- Click Open to complete the activation process.
By following these steps, you should be able to activate TimeXtender Classic on a machine without internet access using the offline activation file.
