Error "Invalid Project Protection" while Deploying or Executing Data Warehouse


Symptoms

Error while deploying or executing the data warehouse in TimeXtender after a server upgrade. Error Message received:

Error: Invalid Project Protection.

Resolution

To resolve the "Invalid Project Protection" error, follow these steps:

  1. Export the Project:

  • Open the project in TimeXtender.
  • Use the "Export" option to export the project to an XML file.
  1. Send the Project to Support:

  • Send the exported XML file to support@timextender.com for them to remove the project protection.
  1. Import the Unprotected Project:

  • Once you receive the unprotected project XML from support, import it back into TimeXtender.
  • Overwrite the current project with the unprotected version.
  1. Activate TimeXtender with the Correct License Code:

  • Ensure that TimeXtender is activated using the correct license code. The original license code should be used to unlock the project.
  1. Deploy and Execute the Project:

  • Redeploy and execute the entire project to ensure all changes are applied correctly.
