I have two particular use cases where I would like the TX REST connector to be able to handle nothing being returned. In one case I've configured the portal to do a PUT request. PUT's generally don't return any body. In a second case, the API is just configured to do this sometimes. We get ID's from another endpoint that we are then supposed to use dynamically like: endpoint/{ID}. The problem is that the source system can have phantom ID's, meaning that ID=13 doesn't really point anywhere. endpoint/13 then returns just a completely empty body. In both cases the problem seems to be that the connector can't handle this. We get back:Failed to execute endpoint 'xxx':Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: }. Path 'TX_Autogenerated_Element', line 1, position 28.Going of the error message, it would seem that the connector is assuming a json was returned and automatically starts trying to convert is somehow. I am using a REST API (CData source) to get source data. Since I need to include a CSR_NONCE value in the header (unique key value), the REST api is set up as a POST. Is it possible to specify that you want to do a POST rather than GET in a CData source?
Hi everyone,I'm facing an issue where one of the columns in my destination table has the same name as a SQL function, and because of this, I'm unable to retrieve it in a normal way. To work around this problem, I wanted to use the Query Table Tool to retrieve the column in a parameterized way.However, for this specific data source (which is a Generic ODBC Data Source), the Query Table Tool option is greyed out. Hi all,I have a customer that has to deal with an unreliable source system. During transfering specific query tables, it sometimes fails. As there is no retry option on this level, at least we can do right now is to inform the customer that things went wrong. Unfortunately the TimeXtender API does not tell us there is anything wrong with this run. The “State” is 2, and all the child “JobExecutionLogs” child entries below the job itself all have the “Severity” value of 0. Does someone recognize this situation? Anything we can do differently to inform the customer?
We are experiencing a small issue with one of the connectors while using managed queries. When I use the query tool, we are utilizing the SQL endpoint from a Fabric Lakehouse to retrieve the data into the ODX. When I query the DBO table, I receive 12 records. For example, when running this query:SELECT [SinkCreatedOn], [SinkModifiedOn], [omoperatingunitnumber], [modifieddatetime], [modifiedby], [createddatetime], [createdby], [dataareaid], [recid], [tableid], [createdon], [modifiedon], [IsDelete] FROM dbo.[omoperatingunit] I also get 12 records. However, when we transfer this managed query, we only receive 11 records. This issue has occurred with multiple tables. We are not applying any filters to this dataset.Do you have any idea why this might be happening? Manually excluding or including all the columns is not manageable on the scale we are working with, so we rely on writing managed queries.
