Hello there, we’ve been experiencing intermittent slowness in the TimeXtender UI within the past few weeks.  Even doing simple things like right clicking on a execution package to view the logs, trying to see the status of an ODX transfer job, etc. will sometimes cause the UI to feel like it’s just not responding (no lotus status UI) for 30 seconds to minutes.This isn’t something that happens all the time and we haven't been able to nail down a root cause.  Our VM where the UI is running is rarely over 30% CPU usage and we usually have over 80% memory free.  Same goes for the VM that the ODX is running on.  How do you even begin to troubleshoot this when the UI is slow to respond?  The TimeXtender UI is on version 20.10.38.64.  The TimeXtender ODX server is on version 20.10.37Thanks!

Hello, I’ve got a customer who asking me this question related to the activation of TX (v. 20.10) .The TX developers use the TX desktop through a Virtual Desktop interface (VmWare horizon). For any reason the IT department has decided to rebuilt (full reinstall)  all VDI servers at least one a week.  Despite I provide the activation file (.lic) they didn’t succeed to automate the TX Desktop license activation and ask me if there is another way to activate the software. My answer was that the only way to get this TX desktop unlocking is to migrate to new version with the cloud repo that will unlock the Desktop when opening the project.Could you confirm there is no alternative for the legacy version regarding the activation? Maybe possible to set at least the license key is a config file then pref-filled in Desktop and  the TX developers jsut need to press activate (assuming requried ports is open to reach the TX license server.?Thx for your helpMichael  

Hi community,I have a question about the Temp DB in SQL Server. We have a customer where the TempDB is growing rapidly, the disk is expanded multiple times. Although it is not a problem to expand this disk again for this customer. I want to understand how we can avoid the TempDB growing rapidly?I do not have a DBA background.The TempDB for this customer is 40 GB at the moment. All ‘heavy’ tables are loaded incrementally and batch cleansing is enabled for these tables. I have some questions:I know batch cleansing is preventing the logs will grow rapidly, but does it also have impact on the TempDB? Are there any other table settings in TimeXtender can help reducing the TempDB size? Does the number of threads in a execution package have impact on the TempDB? Are there any best practices in determining the correct/optimal disk size for the TempDB? Are there any troubleshooting ideas/tools for this?Any other suggestions?

Hello to all the community!😃When I make any change to any table and run deploy and execute, at the end of the procedure, I find he table with very little data compared to what should be present (example out of 90.000 records it loads only 4.100). I tried to check the various settings but I don't see anything wrong, can you give me some advice? TimeXtender vers. 20.10.32.64 Thank you in advance

After saving a version of timextender, probably we where two person who incidentally did it at the same time, we run into "out of bounds index/array".Now we can’t open the latest version and when trying to deploy an earlier version we get the “out of bounds index/array” anyway.The environment is all in azure so we have the repository database accessible.Would it be possible to just restore the database to a point in time before we hade the incident.I talked with a colleague and he recommended using this community for advise. 

I recently had a project get corrupted, and I had to revert back to a prior version.  When I did this, it appears as though some aspect of the metadata got scrambled.  When I open the project, all of the tables and other objects show up.  But when I go to deploy any table, regardless of red/black state, the database throws an error "There is already an object named <mytable> in the database."  It is as though TX is sending a CREATE statement instead of an ALTER.  I can manually delete the table(s) and related function to make this error go away for my one table, but I have hundreds of tables, some of which have many months of history.   All of my tables show up in the treeview controls, however when I use the SQL Database Cleanup Tool, none are listed in "Current Project Objects".  They are all listed in "Unknown Project".  Is there any way to recover from this without having to drop all tables and deploy/execute?

Dear Community, I have a few questions regarding transferring to another internal server and if you could help me with any of these questions help is appreciated.We have currently two servers running on SQL Server 2016, one server has the DEV and ACC environments and the second server has our PROD Environment (TimeXtender 20.10.39.64).The environments were installed by a supplier but their external employee left, so we want to try and install this on our own (with snapshots/backups in case something goes wrong).We want to try and move the DEV/ACC environment to a new server which has the same TimeXtender version but SQL Server 2019. For this move I have 3 questions:Can I just export and import the project from old server to my new server and load the data again into a new SQL database? How can I set up my environments in such a way that my DEV → ACC → PROD traject isn’t changed. I could not find those settings and had trouble finding them on the legacy page. Good afternoon, When I transfer my project from our DEV to PROD environment, it takes over 25 minutes. I also have the same problem when opening the project from PROD to deploy and execute changes.  Is there anything I can do in order to make these times more manageable? Thanks, Chuck

Did anyone tried to rename or modify the source code on system fields from being 'customdata' based on the filename or business unit you are unloading a text or excel file?I would really love this as this source code is one of my primary keys and it's uniform irrespective of the business unit I unload the data becoz of excel docs being used.

Hi,I've been trying to configure the ODX server properly in order tot est TX and complete the course, but I'm having some difficulty.I've downloaded both ODX and TX, I have activated them with the key and client secret; I've made a new local user in the Admin group called TX Service; I've given this user sysadmin rights in the newly created database TX_project_repository.Now if I try to load data on this screen, it fails:With the following error in the log:Seems like it cannot access the database.The service is also not functioning, trying to jumpstart the scheduler manually gives this error:Please advise me on this issue.

Hi all,  Our project has work items that have been left by several folks who have since left the company.  Their accounts no longer exist, so we can't log in as their old users and remove them.  Is it possible to remove these work items some other way?

I am unable to set up my notifications. I get the following error message: I already tried different email addresses (gmail, outlook, hotmail) with different ports. I also enabled the option within my mail accounts to allow external programs to make a connection. But it still isn't working. Is this a know issue or am I doing something wrong?

Hi , our DH setup consists of multi-layered datawarehouse whereas BI client (tableau ) only interfaces the upper tier: MDW DWH.Having semantic layer for each dashboards (we have quite a few), we would like to move out of the single core TX project with multiple semantic layers to a project for each dashboard (semantic layer). By doing so, we can make sure that each developer works on his own project without "stepping on each other toes" (I'm aware of collabaration features of TX) and keeping our core project unharmed. So, the challenge is how to reuse objects created in the core project (preferably VIEW to reduce space/redundencies) in entire new project (same server/database)My approach was creating a new project, add MDW datawarehouse and then utilize External SQL Connection to connect to the same DWH (transfer type connection).
