Hi, We have only source in which we are using a rest source and incrementally loading the data in the odx. The api cannot handle a date range that is too big. When we trying to preview the data in the odx, we see the data that we need. However, when we run the odx transfer task, with syncing it does not give all the updates in the table like it should. I saw that there were some fixes with the previous versions with incremental loading. We upgraded today to 6536.1. Also we upgraded the rest data source to the newest version. However, because the preview is fine, I don't think the problem is the source connector.

I want to start an Execution Package at another server. I have attached the PS1 script. This script is working on the TimeXtender server. But not on our Qlik server. We use the same credentials. Also the credentials have access to the timextender.exe and the shares mentioned in the script on our Qlik server. I think the parameters package name and project name are not recognized when starting the script on an other server. Can you help me out to start an execution package on an other location then the timextender server?

v20.10.35.64 I’ve got a History table with ± 16 million rows in PROD and ± 2.3 million rows in TEST. To increase loading times I tried to delete some columns of the table, first in TEST. Here I was able to successfully Deploy & Execute the History table with Differential + Managed deployment, which finished in several minutes. However, when I try the same procedure in PROD it keeps stuck on the step Deploy Valid Table Structure as shown below. I also tried to Deploy with Differential Deployment unchecked, but with no result. It just keeps loading forever. Anybody an idea?

I need some guidence saving contents ofan endpoint as BLOOB. I can see that the version we use doesnot have an option for BLOOB but may be Text or Binary with maximum length can give me what i need. We are running TX version 6536.1.Our data source is AX Dynamics 2012 on premise. We have the issue both with the SQL Server connector and the OLEDB connector. After synchronizing, we can't select any tables with right click on the data source → Select Tables → Search.It also takes > 30 minutes before the table selector pops up.Our only option is to select all tables. The Transfer task - Select table option does give us the option to select tables. However we can't select any individual columns. Neither does this give us the option to define any incremental selection rules or row filters.

Hello, TimeXtender: 20.10.40.64ODX: 20.10.31 We are using the ODX and TimeXtenders SQL database connector to get data from a synpase database. Sometimes the synpase databas seems to have problems, where a query runs and doesn’t complete (a seperate issue we are working on). However what happens in TimeXtender in the ODX is that the transfer task keeps running indefinitely and never times out, leading timextender execution package to run but just sits there waiting for the odx transfer task to finish. However nothing fails anywhere, so we do not get an alert. We need some way to be able to capture this. Is there anyway to set up one or both of these things in TimeXtender or if you have any other ideas? 1. Kill the transfer task if it takes more then X minutes2. Get an alert on failure or long running task Thank you!

Hi, We are setting up a new Azure environment for a client and we are having some issues with the Azure SQL DB. The app server VM is based on the one available in the Azure marketplace: https://azuremarketplace.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/apps/timextender.timextender-app-server?tab=Overview The issue occurs when we try to test the storage connection for the MDW instance. Hi, We are running Timextender 6536.1 with execution server 6536.1 on on-premise sql server 2019. We seems to be having some strange behaviour with the “Manage schedule” option in with editing a job. Whenever we open the schedule it seems to trigger the job itself. I don't know if others experienced the same. I also don't know if it is related to Timextender 6536.1 since we had to do a lot of updates and configuration changes to the server lately due to a tempdb problem. Below I added a screenshot of the option, it applies to any job not only the odx one I'm highlighting.

One of my clients has a file data source that arrives at unpredictable times of the day. Has anyone found a good way to external-trigger-load such data source when it arrives? E.g. Webhooks, Logic Apps, ... The question is for 20.10.43, but I’m equally interested in hearing if there are solutions for v6284.1 as we’ll be moving in that direction. Thanks!

Hi all, I am relatively new to SQL. Although with help and searching, I am making progress, I am not succeeding with the following question. Based on a date, I can easily set a filter in my reports to look ahead for x period of time. However, when a holiday comes into view, my report becomes blank. For this, I am looking for an index/row_number/sequence that skips the holiday dates. Can I set up a Custom Field for this within my BaseCalendar?

Hi, A customer running version 6536.1 has provided us with a SQL Server database on a linked server (server L) as source, but we haven´t managed to connect to it so far.There is no problem running queries to that database on server L from management studio, when the query is run from the context of a database on server/instance where the linked server is added (server TX). This is a different windows server than the linked server. The appserver with the ODX-service is on yet another Windows server. The ODX database resides on server TX. Connecting to the ODX db and the TimeXtender MDW’s on server TX works fine. Is it possible to use a linked server as a source? If so, how should the server name(s) be specified in the connections settings in the portal? BRAnders

At a customer, we are developing in a team of 2 on TimeXtender 6536.1 . The Team development feature is switched on and, like in the 20.10.nn.mm version, I would expect the refresh button to bring out any deployments that my colleague makes and vice versa. But this doesn’t happen so. Only by closing an instance and re-opening it, do the deployed modifcations appear. Are we the only ones experiencing this? Or are there others? We know that you can use workitems to show others what you’re working on, to avoid working on the same objects, but would expect a refresh to also show new items, if one depends on the others work to proceed.

Hi! We have installed TimeXtender and ODX on an Azure VM (TimeXtender 6536.1). They are both running in ADF. I have installed TimeXtender Desktop locally on my own computer (outside of the VM) and I’m able to log in and open the instances. However, when I try to execute a table I get this error: -Execute Execution Package Execution Queue Default 'Failed' No DNS entries exist for host <nameofVM>. No such host is known I am connected to the same network as the TimeXtender VM ('nameofVM') through a VPN connection. Is this setup not supported or am I missing some network configurations?

Hi, I try to connect data source to ODX from TimeXtender Portal. I tried with different data provider (Postgresql and CSV). Both data source are stored in the same machine as ODX server and TimeXtender Server. While I got the error of “Test connection request timed out. Please make sure your ODX server is running and try again.”. The TimeXtender server and ODX server are both running. I checked the connection with command, and it is ok. Hi all, I have an api which is connecting to a restlet endpoint. trying to get this in timextender but I'm getting errors all the time. to set this up in Postman I have added a screenshot of the values i'm adding to my call, which is then added as a header to the call (see header png). Transferring this to TX gives me a 403 forbidden. I'm thinking this is because of encoding or the HMAC signing. But I have tried a lot of things but not getting the call through. Any suggestions as to how I can add a restlet with Oauth1.0? If more information is needed please let me know

We are investigating the External Table feature to handle some special tables outside of TX, but still be able to utilize these for down-stream TX based processing.We would like to orchestrate the updates of these table from TimeXtender, but it seems like pre- and post execute scripts are not allowed on these tables. Can you confirm that pre- and post scripts are not available for external tables, alternatively provide a work-around to enable these. (It seems like a strange design choice to remove these hooks for this feature).Also, I find the schema option page grayed out on the table settings for an External table, would be nice to be able to put the generated views in some meaningful containers (not dbo). Hi, One of our clients are looking to implement SQL Server connection encryption using the SQL Server Network Configuration\Protocols for MSSQL Server and setting this to 'Force Encryption' using an SSL certificate. I was looking into using a managed identity (App Registration) to authenticate TimeXtender with Azure SQL DB resources, but can't get it to work. I couldn't find much documentation on the support site either. I created a login on the database using T-SQL. I can also login with SSMS using the Azure Active Directory - Service Principal method: I'm trying by using the Active Directory Password Authentication method in the Connection Settings dialog. Hi all, We experience a weird issue where our execution package seems to run itself? This happens for a total of 3 times in the execution. Then, when it succeeds it'll kick off the next package where it will happen again. This just started to occur in the past week, before everything worked normally. Has anyone else experienced this? This is the setup of the package. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey all, We use incremental load in the ODX on a datetime field and we use an offset of 3 days (again in ODX). Now we've noticed that when we load a table from ODX to the data warehouse (even when full loading) that the _R table can contain duplicate records. In our Data Lake each increment is a parquet file of the last 3 days of data, since we load every day these files can overlap by 2 days. I believe this overlap is the cause of the duplicates in our _R table. What happens next is that the Error report gets spammed with “Violation of primary key constraint” (which is true). But our Valid table does have the expected result. A full load transfer task solves the issue, but of course we do not want to do that all the time. Is this the intended design? Is there a page that explains how the ODX handles these parquet files before inserting them into the Raw table? Any suggestions or insights on how to handle this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Where can I find a description of the properties of the Global Database settings in general and in my case regarding a SQL server DB especially the “max rows to copy”. I have used 0 (hopefully then there is no limit but I have also seen that values are used).
